I'm sure you all have heard by now, but this week the fashion industry lost one of their brightest stars. Oscar de la Renta is an icon, a legend, and a sensational designer. He redefined elegant fashion, he left his stamp on fashion, and he raised the bar to a higher standard. He dressed the stars, and clothed the majesties. He was a rare soul, one I'm sure we'll never see again. So, here's to you, Mr. de la Renta.
Hello lovlies! x I hope you are all having a wonderful day & I hope it's bright and sunshiny wherever you are at today! Today I want to talk about something I love dearly... LIPSTICK! I love makeup, and lipstick would have to be one of my favorite things! It helps complete a look, and there's so many different ways to wear lipstick.. Not to mention, lipstick can change a makeup look drastically. Here is a look I played around with that I absolutely love:
I paired my e.l.f Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyshadow in the color Soriee with my e.l.f baked eyeshadow in the shade Toasted. I applied the Soriee shade along the inner corner of my lid. I then applied Toasted to the outer corner of my lid, and spread it up to my crease. I will film a tutorial on how I created the eye makeup next week. For now, lets talk about the lipstick. In these pictures, I have an AVON Smooth Minerals lipstick in the color Cranberry. I love, love, love this lipstick! I haven't been able to take myself away from it. It's been my go-to recently, but I wanted to change up the look, and see how I could recreate this makeup. So, I took a few of my other favorites and tried them on.
This lipstick would have to be my second favorite. I love the way it brings bout the shimmery pink of the Soriee eyeshadow. It's a nice matte, but doesn't dry, crack, or peel your lips. This lipstick brings a new dimension to the makeup look without being too over powering.
So, if there's one thing you should remember about a makeup look, it's that you can change it. There are simple things you can do to enhance any look, and add dimension to what you're wearing.
